Beastmaster

 

Beastmasters have a skill for working with animals. Many Beastmasters feel uncomfortable in large cities or towns, and prefer to live in the wild, away from other people.

Game Rule Information

Beastmasters have the following game statistics.

Abilities: Dexterity affects many Beastmaster skills and provide the lightly armored scout extra protection. Charisma increases their ability to interact with animals.

Alignment: Must have a neutral component

Hit Dice: d8

 

Class Skills- Skill Points at each level 4+Int modifier.

Animal Empathy, Balance, Climb, Craft, Handle Animal, Heal, Hide, Intuit Direction, Jump, Knowledge (Nature, Animals), Listen, Move Silently, Ride, Search, Sense Motive, Spot, Swim, Tumble, and Wilderness Lore

 

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:  Beastmasters are proficient with all simple weapons, and light armor. Flurry of Blows- as the monk

 

Animal Bond- At 1st level the Beastmaster can create a bond with normal animals. A Beastmaster may bond with creatures totaling 2x her level in Beastmaster in any combination. The Beastmaster may start with an animal companion. Bonding with a new animal takes one week during this time she must treat the animal as an equal.

 

Claw Shape- The Beastmaster may transform her hand (or hands if using flurry of Blows). The transformation is a free action. All attacks made when using claw shape act as if the Beastmaster has the feat improved unarmed combat. Starting at 10th level the Beastmaster may hit creatures as if her claw was a magical weapon. No other gains are granted from the bonus.

 

Speak with animals, Animal Trance, Calm Animals, Animal Messenger, Hold Animal, and Dominate Animal:

 All are as per the spell of the same name. The Beastmasters level is the caster level for all aspects of the spell. The spell is useable a number of times per day equal to her charisma bonus.

 

Wild Shape- Treat as the druid ability of the same name.

 

Cure Animals-Treat as a healing circle that only works on you and any friendly animals in the area of effect. The spell is useable a number of times per day equal to her charisma bonus.

 

Heal Animals- As the heal mount spell. It is only usable on bonded animals. The spell is useable a number of times per day equal to her charisma bonus.
