Here you will find a short description of the NPC's known to the players either by rumor or met. The chapter listed is when the group first meets the NPC.
People the characters have not met but everyone knows about (and may have even seen...from afar...or maybe just knew someone who thought they met them.) Severen Navalant: The current Lord-Mayor of Cauldron. Lord Alahind Vhalantru: Lord Alahind Vhalantru was given the patent of nobility shortly after moving to Cauldron 15 years ago. Immediately upon arriving to the city he gave a huge sum of money toward the restoration of several town structures, including Town Hall and the Bluecrater Academy. The grounds of Vhalantru’s manor are amongst the most beautiful in Cauldron and, as a patron of learning and friend of the poor, he is one of the most popular figures in the city. Alahind has never married and has no children. Zachary Aslaxin: The Aslaxin family is currently the most powerful house in the town of Kingfisher Hollow, now that the Tercivals have moved into the city. The Aslaxin rice crops are one of the greatest sources of food in the region, and their dominance of the food import trade seals the family’s continued power in the region, however, the true gem of the Aslaxin empire is the art trade. Zachary and his wife Kerri have 9 children, most of who are happily entrenched in the family businesses. The notable exception is the eldest son, Zachary the Second, who is known to travel with Anna Taskerhill and Cora Lathenmire. Adrick Garthun: Adrick Garthûn is called the Gold Dwarf. He spends most of his time in the city proper looking over his import business. Adrick is gregarious and friendly in his business dealings, but is taciturn and often short when questioned about his family. It is known that he has several children, but he speaks neither about them, nor about his wife. Lady Ophelia Knowlern: Lady
Ophelia Knowlern inherited control of this Vaasan house when her father and
brother died in a mine explosion, and she has been loathe to marry, giving up
her power. She makes her home in Hollowsky, where she can better look after her
interests in the areas mines (both south of Hollowsky and in the immediate
vicinity of the haunted village). At the behest of Jenya Urikas, she often sits
in as a voice of reason and compassion at Cauldron’s council meetings. She has
two younger sisters, both of whom she is very protective of. Lady Thifirane Rhiavadi: Lady Thifrane is the only living member of this ancient K'Taarin house. She lives alone (discounting servants) in what is widely considered the most ostentatious display of wealth in the city, a multileveled, towered structure on Obsidian Avenue. Though she controls interest in several businesses in the region, it is known that she has little patience for them and allows most decisions to be made by subordinates. She is a very sought after bride, but the rumor-mongers of Cauldron doubt if she will ever find a partner. Terseon Skellerang: Lord Captain Commander of the city guard. Surabar Spellmason: Surabar Spellmason was one of the greatest wizards of his time. He is the founder of both Redgorge and Cauldron. Lord Ankhin Taskerhill: The Tethyrian Lord Ankhin Taskerhill is the inheritor of the fabulously wealthy Taskerhill mines and estates. Ankhin is the richest man in Cauldron, and now that he is a widower he is also one of the most sought after men within its walls. He dotes after his daughter Anna, who is known to travel with Cora Lathenmire. Alek Tercival: Alek Tercival, a paladin of St. Cuthbert. Lord Premiach Vanderboren: The Vanderborens, Lord Premiach and Lady Aeberrin. The house is Cauldron’s answer to real-estate tycoons, and they own several important buildings and businesses in the city. Their son, Todd, is known to travel with the children of several other noble families from the area. The Morkoth: It is rumored to live in the lake and has a popular tavern named after it.
Chapter 1 (Where the Characters meet) Ruphus Laro: Tall and thin with dark hair and eyes. This lay cleric of St. Cuthbert met the group while he was crushing the foot of a Last Laugh tough, with his face. Mysterious Woman (on the roof): Willowy in leather armor with a whip and a blowgun. Her face was painted 1/2 white and 1/2 black and her black hair pulled back into a ponytail. She watched the attack on Ruphus and killed one of the ruffians as he tried to run from the might of the PC's. Jenya Urikas: A human in her late 20's early 30's brown eyes and black hair, with streaks of gray. Her hair is always well kept and swept into an elaborate style. She packs a lot of dedication into her 5'4" frame as the acting high priestess of St. Cuthbert. Skie Aldersun: Female Gnome. Average height and weight with blond hair and light blue eyes. She once made a living as an adventurer now she makes her living off of adventurers. The Lantern Street Orphanage staff:
Keygan Ghelve: A older Gnome with salt and pepper hair and a neatly trimmed mustache and goatee. Bushy eyebrows and a creased face coupled with his graven frown make him look frumpy and dour. He always wears stilts (appearing nearly 6' tall) and extra long pants to hide them when dealing with customers. Starbrow: Keygan's rat familiar. It has a very distinctive star shaped patch of fur on it's head. Yuathyb: He looks like a slim and short human. He is always covered head to toe in strips of black cloth. The leader of the dark ones that now populate Jzadirune. Xuksus: A male filth covered ogre. Kazmojen: Male 1/2 Dwarf 1/2 Troll. The Underdark slaver behind the disappearances in Cauldron. Clad in Jet black full plate and wielding a Dwarven Urgrosh. His long arms would have been the death of the party if not for the timely appearance of an Eye Tyrant. It is unknown if he is alive or dead. Prickles: A disturbing cross between a porcupine and a dog with worms for eyes and a howl that chilled to the bone. Kazmojen seemed very fond of him. Something about the way he went crazy when Wacko killed him gave it away. The Eye Tyrant (Beholder): Ack! What the heck is that thing. A huge orb covered with chitin like plates and a huge eye above a gaping maw of needle like teeth. 10 stalks cover the top of the orb each topped with a moist eye that is in constant motion. The Orphans: Deakon, Evelyn, Lucinda and Terrem. The four orphans that the group rescued...ok the Eye thingy "rescued" Terrem but hey the group gets the credit! Wire Beard: A ash-skinned dwarf with sharply pointed ears and yellow eyes. His wire bristle beard constantly rubs against his mold encrusted robes. Asfelkir Hranleurt: A large burly 1/2 Orc with a booming voice and a crushing grip. He is the leader of the very popular church of Kord. Ike Iverson: Average height and a solid build his shoulder length wavy hair and piercing blue eyes set him apart from the rest of the crowd. While not the high priest he runs the day to day operations at the Cathedral of Wee Jas. Kristof Jurgenson: Tall and thin with wispy blond hair and a winning smile. His warmth and kindness are obvious to all who meet the only remaining clergy at the Church of Pelor. Terseon Skeilerang: Thin and lanky with a square chin and a regal air. This blond haired, gray eyed human is one of Cauldrons most eligible bachelors. Only 27 and he is the Lord Captain Commander of the city guard. There has been talk that this post is only a stepping stone to a plum position in the capital of Sasserine. He stands as the civil representative during the trial. Chapter 2 (Drakthar is dead...Long live Drakthar!) Shensen Tesseril: Shensen has long silver hair kept back by an ornate silver circlet, dusky skin, and a trim, athletic build. She wears a ring on each hand and supple leather boots upon her feet. The neck of a beautifully crafted lute juts carelessly from a haversack nearby. She seems to have a thing for short balding clerics of St. Cuthbert. Fellian Shard: A 1/2 elf with dark brown hair and bright green eyes. He always pops up where ever the players are. He is never far from Fario. Fario Ellegoth: A 1/2 elf with blond hair and blue eyes. He always pops up where ever the players are. He is never far from Fellian. Kallev: A sharp tongued tiefling warrior in the employ of the Blue Duke. She was able to get away after the group surprised her and Chorlyndyr in their quarters. Chorlyndyr: A human sorcerer with blue-white hair and a winning smile. Surrounded by the group and separated by a web from his fighter support he gave up to the group and spilled his guts. The group escorted him to the surface and told the guards that he was a prisoner. He is currently living in Cauldron. Drakthar: A vampire bugbear who charmed the Silent Wolf tribe of goblins to do his bidding. The Silent Wolf tribe: After Drakthar's destruction they traded the players information for safe passage for the no longer charmed goblins. Orak Stonehaven: A dwarven male ex adventure with only one eye. The other is covered by an eye patch with a red gem in the center. He is also the owner of Orak's Bathhouse and very grateful to the party for freeing him from Drakthar's charm. They all get free baths for life! SGT Skylar Krewis: The baby faced SGT that seems to always be given the duty of dealing with the players when Lord Captain Skeilerang is not available (and that seems to be most if not all of the time) The Stormblades:
Toungeater: A werebaboon with a large mane of black hair, facial warpaint, body piercings, decorative scar patterns, and a penchant for eating the tongues of his enemies. Artus Shemwick: Possibly the most nondescript person you ever forgot you met. He is a part-time cook at the Tipped Tankard and a full-time fence and information broker. He gave the group vital info on the hideout of the Ebon Triad...and they gave him 500 gp. Klarkus, Blare and Jestie: Thugs working for Skaven that the group paid to keep things looking normal while they went topside to raise Dot. Skaven: Short and bald sporting a goatee and a wicked lightning bolt! He put a hurt on the party and killed Dot before they managed to kill him and stuff his body in Bag of Holding. Celeste: A uncommonly beautiful human female. She is a member of the Cusp of Sunrise and sponsers all of the PC's as members of the exclusive club. She introduces them to Davked Splintershield. Davked Splintershield: An old cursed Dwarf. Hires the group to travel to Bhal-Hamatugn and bring his son, Zenith Splintershield, back. King Jared the IV (Crazy Jared): The King of Anduria or just some crazy hermit, you decide. After the party saved him from a hungry dragon he had some good information for the group and led them to the "Pit of the Seven Jaws". The party has not been seen since Fario left them near the entrance to Bhal-Hamatugn have
not repeated NPC's that were introduced to the old group. Kora Wistlegap: Arihant: Lavinia Vanderboren: Soller Vark: Vanthus Vanderboren: Nemien Roblach: Rowyn Kellani: Captain Harliss Javell: 1st Mate Drevoraz Kabran: |
