The Skyreach Mountains bisect the jungle, with Cauldron lies on the jungle's northwest corner. The Hellfurnaces Mountains flank the jungle to the west. The jungle also holds many carnivorous and poisonous plants whose medicinal and magical properties are rumored to be very powerful. The Demonskar: A crater in the middle of the trackless jungle. Of late many gnolls have been seen in the area. They have yet to become a threat to Cauldron. Haunted Village The Haunted Village is a ruined settlement set in the craggy foothills south of Cauldron. Little is known about this long empty village, but rumors about powerful undead in the village persist. Hellfurnace Mountains The Hellfurnace Monutains divine the Sea of Dust to the west from the Amedio Jungle to the east. The primary pass through the mountains is guarded by the Dwarven Gate of the Mountain fortress. The Hellfurnaces boast many active volcanoes, and some say that passages to the Underdark can be found in their steep crevasses. Hollowsky The village of Hollowsky, located to the southeast of Cauldron, is the smallest settlement in the region with a population of only 460. The settlement was known for its maze-like structure and its many permanent examples of illusion magic. It also boasted the only local theater and a thriving art community. Visitors to the underground settlement were often impressed with the gear-shaped doors employed by the gnomes. Beneath Jzadirune were tunnels and caverns leading down to the Underdark. A local Splintershield clan of dwarves built the Malachite Fortress in the halls immediately beneath Jzadirune as a bastion against any evil that might venture up from the depths. The fortress was headed by one Zenith Splintershield. About seventy-five years ago, in 1266, Jzadirune was abandoned after a virulent magical disease called the Vanishing swept through the populace.
